Counts are the grid. SongChoreo maps the whole song onto it.
This counts at a tempo you set. SongChoreo hears the actual song — the sections, the hits, the phrasing — and turns it into a choreography-ready timing map. Sign up and run your music: 3 full packs free.
Frequently asked questions
How do I count 8s for choreography?
Set the tempo of your song (tap it in with the T key if you don't know the BPM), press start, and follow the display: dancers count two bars of 4/4 music as one 8-count, with natural emphasis on counts 1 and 5. This tool accents both, visually and audibly.
What tempo should I set for my song?
Tap along with the music using the tap button or the T key — four to eight taps locks the tempo. Most commercial dance tracks land between 90 and 130 BPM.
What is mirror mode for?
If you project or point a screen at the studio mirror, the display would read backwards — mirror mode pre-flips it so it reads correctly in the reflection.
Can I slow the counts down for teaching?
Yes — the practice-speed control runs the same count at 50–100% of the set tempo, so you can teach a phrase slow and bring it up to speed without re-tapping.
